Yamaha Monster Energy's Paulin, still making a comeback after an early season injury, put together two solid races, finishing 7th and 4th providing him with a 5th overall on the day.
Excellent results were even seen by the two young riders of Team Giacomo Gariboldi, bringing home their best overall results of the season. Kullas had a fantastic first race where he held onto third place for the first half of the race, eventually finishing in 6th position. In the second race Kullas finished 12th after starting mid-pack. Charlier, on the other hand, found himself in the back of pack of the first race, but charged to an impressive 10th position. In the second race he battled with USA's Zach Osborne before finishing in 9th position.
Philippaerts found the Kegrums track to be too difficult and was unable to repeat his podium performance from the prior GP round in Germany. The Yamaha Monster Energy racer, aboard his YZ450F, outfitted with Acerbis plastics, held onto 4th position for most of the race until he was forced to settle for 5th after being passed by Antonio Cairoli. In the second race the Tuscan remained in 7th position for most of the race, then a final push allowed him to take 6th position from the German Max Nagl. Philippaerts took 6th on the day, maintaining his 3rd overall position in the championship standings.
The 10th round of the World GP takes place on the Swedish track of Uddevalla on the 4th of July.
